Health and Social Justice Research Award 2016

CHSJ (Centre for Health and Social Justice) New Delhi has started fellowship program “Health and Social Justice Research Award 2016” for a systematic assessment of the maternal and reproductive health services in selected districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Satyakam Jan Kalyan Samiti (SJKS) has selected for this fellowship program. The topic of research was ‘Rural women of Dalit community has lack access to government maternity health services in Chhindwara district’. The main objectives of this research was as follows-

  • To understand the real situation of availability and quality of maternity health services and facilities in Dalit community.
  • To collect the information in respect of dalit women’s access to maternity health services.
  • To understand the experience of dalit women related to government health services.

This research was conducted in 6 villages- Tiwadakamath, Badgona, Shikarpur, Khairwada, Kamathi and Khunajhirkhurd of Mohkhed block.
