Previous Status

Members of marginalized community were neglected by the upper class society and didn’t have representation in Panchayat Raj Institution and/or any village committee. They didn’t have quality and capacity of leadership.

Present Status

Members of marginalized community have representation in Panchayat Raj Institution (PRI), Village Health Committee and school management committee. They have developed leadership through leadership development trainings.

Story

This is a success story of marginalized community of Guraiya village. Some year ago, Members of marginalized community were neglected by the upper class society and didn’t have representation in Panchayat Raj Institution and/or any village committee. They didn’t have quality and capacity of leadership. They were known from their rights.
During PACS program Satyakam Jankalyan Samiti organized leadership development trainings for members of marginalized community and aware them for their rights and entitlements. Community became aware of their rights and entitlements and raised their voice and gave applications for membership in village health committee and representation in PRI. They were succeed and got involved in same.  Following are the members of marginalized community-ST and SC, who have elected for the various committees-
