Women Youth Icons and Leaders from Marginalized Communities for Gender Justice

Objectives/ areas/of the program

- Objectives of the programme:- 1. The project supports marginalised women and girls
- Livelihood opportunities are provided in the field of agriculture and food grains and small scale industries
- Advice and information is provided in legal matters of women
- Women and girls are made aware of any kind of injustice, violence, constitutional values and discrimination and they are prepared as leaders at the local level
- Women and girls of marginalised and deprived communities will be mobilised and organised
Activities of the programme

- Women leaders of the deprived community have been brought forward in the leadership with the vision and mission of Satyakam
- Developing understanding on social issues among the leader women so that they can understand their value and rights
- Training on women rights, gender equality, gender discrimination, freedom and constitutional values
- To bring the leader women forward in the community meeting in 60 villages to work on agriculture and traditional food grains, livelihood opportunities
- Starting maize industry
- Forming 56 women’s Ankurvan organization and connecting with the government
- So that women can move forward in the society for leadership
- Actively connecting 56*3 = 168 women of the community with Satyakam and appointing them to big posts in the organization
Leadership development
168 women from 56 villages of Block Tamia and Harrai have been brought into leadership, so that the leader women can lead and make their identity in the Ankurvan program And leadership training was provided to women leaders and adolescents to develop understanding of gender justice, So that they can express themselves strongly in social, economic, political and social decisions, so that Satyakam is working together with women and adolescents on various issues related to the society

Training on Gender, Gender Inequality, Constitutional Values and Violence against Women
168 women leaders of Block Tamia and Harrai have been activated and provided capacity building training on social issues related to gender equality and violence against women, so that women can be helped to understand their rights, gender discrimination, equality and freedom values and can move forward by understanding constitutional values, social and human values

Community meetings and formation of groups in 56 villages –
- Creation of Ankurn Organization (Ankurn Organization) has been formed in 56 villages. Priority has been given to women and girls of marginalized communities in the organization
- 12-15 members have been included in the formation of this formation
- The aim of Ankuran organization is to bring together various stakeholders- Sarpanch, PRI members, Anganwadi workers, school teachers, Aasha as members in the organization to raise any issue related to gender inequality, constitutional values, and violence against women. * This organization consists of 12-15 members, * The aim of Ankuran organization is to raise any issue related to gender inequality, constitutional values, violence. * Women have been made to work on livelihood opportunities like agriculture and traditional food grains.

Their Story –
In Their Own Words – Stories of success and transformation based on the lives of women from underprivileged communities who are women and girls from Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes , Muslims and other poor underprivileged communities.
Following issues were discussed in Meetings and theirs Story telling series.
A) physically and mentally harassed in society, or there is inequality, violence, dowry harassment being to live on the margins, Who is a victim of some kind of exploitation.
B) who have also been discriminated against in livelihood opportunities, or Women and girls are becoming victims of patriarchal thinking and gender based discrimination, through the institute these women and girls in the society have been organized to raise their voice for gender justice by making them aware of their rights, and To live a better life, women are joining the mainstream of society
