Internet Saathi program

A nationwide initiative called the “Internet Saathi” project is being implemented by Google, Tata Trusts, and FII (Foundation for Innovative Initiatives), Delhi, to connect rural women with digital literacy. Under this project, approximately 50,000 rural women from 240 villages in Chhindwara district will be made digitally literate.
As part of the Internet Saathi program, from July 24 to July 27, 2017, training was conducted in Kukdajagat, District Chhindwara, where 60 women from the Chhindwara, Amarwara, and Mohkhed blocks were trained as Internet Saathis by a team of trainers from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
Additionally, all 60 Internet Saathi women were provided with 3G mobile phones and tablets, along with two activated SIM cards, mobile and tablet covers, umbrellas, bags, and manuals, by Google and Tata Trusts.
