Milk Project and Pre School- Nutrition and Education
Arrangement of ration and food for the poor children of deprived community at the grassroots level in the backward and hilly areas of Block Harrai of District Chhindwara, in the areas of Milk Project and Pre-School-Nutrition and Education under Jeev Daya Foundation and Satyakam Jankalyan Samiti and Milk distribution work was done in anganwadi and schools of village.
The objective of this program is the backward hilly areas of Block Harrai, Village Muarsani and Thar of District Chhindwara. 50% of the people of these communities go out for migratory labour. Most of the people in this migration are from rural areas. Women are facing these problems.
Like women are not getting regular nutritious food during pregnancy and she is anaemic. Due to the location being backward area and suffering from unemployment. Food is not provided on time Meal due to these circumstances they gives birth to a malnourished child. The woman’s child is born with a serious problem of malnutrition and the Anganwadi and Asha (stakeholders) want help and want to avoid their responsibility by showing even the most malnourished children in the middle class category to keep their jobs. But A new step should be taken on serious issues like malnutrition, so that we can work towards malnutrition in society and provide proper food and milk to children deprived of health services.
Block and Villages Selection of works –
Milk Under the project, under the aegis of Satyakam Jan Kalyan Samiti, a pilot project program was conducted in village Muarsani and village Tharav of development block Harrai through which milk project for 70 children and ration relief material was provided to 75 families of the deprived community to benefit the beneficiaries of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Muslim and other poor deprived communities was selected for the project.
2. NEXT ACTIVITY
Meetings with women and men of the community.
Jeev Daya Foundation and Satyakam are giving first priority to the tribals, Dalits, landless, unemployed, marginalized sections of the society and the children and women of those communities who cannot manage two meals a day, who belong to the extremely poor class, who are marginalized or whose socio-economic condition is pathetic. Meetings were conducted with men and women of the community for the milk distribution program for 68 children in villages Muarsani and Tharwa. Information was provided about the serious problem of malnutrition in children, so that the inclination of children towards milk can be increased, because the institute can make parents aware about the protein nutritious diet of children, so that parents bring their children at the time of milk distribution, and they can get milk and biscuits.
Ration distribution program –
Under the aegis of JDF and Satyakam, the village Muarsani and Tharwa’s Scheduled Caste , Scheduled Tribe , Muslim and other poor who are landless , unemployed , marginalized deprived community of the society who cannot buy food. To benefit the selected primary beneficiaries like , Who 30 kg free wheat has been distributed as ration to one woman among the families, in this ration distribution program ration relief material was given to 75 families of the village Distribution was done
